General Job Description:

The Senior Operations QC Analyst position is an experienced independent contributor role. The Senior Operations QC Analyst is expected to have familiarity with all base level operations responsibilities including but not limited to account retail/institutional account onboarding, transaction processing and have knowledge with proprietary systems. This role will require a proven track record of producing a quality and error free work product. Senior Operations QC Analyst will be responsible for validating transactions prior to releasing accounts for trading. The Senior Operations QC Analyst will be able to handle complex issues with professionalism and minimal supervision. This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Quality Control checks of New Accounts, Account Maintenance Transactions and Cash Flows to ensure accuracy prior to trading.
  • Identify, track and report trends to management.
  • Create/maintain quality control operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with Account Services processing as well as daily reconciliation between the firm’s accounting system and custodians.
  • Manage multiple workflow queues throughout the day to ensure accounts are reviewed with 100% accuracy and traded within the client/sponsor guidelines and meet Internal and External SLA’s
  • Responsible for performing routine consistency checks to mitigate risk and reduce errors.
  • Frequent communication with custodians, banks, and brokers to expedite and resolve issues.
  • Respond to various requests from intermediaries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as an interface between business units.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert as it relates to the Account Services team and Quality Control workflows and procedures.
  • Provide a high level of service to the Investment Manager.
  • Assist with department projects and client conversions as needed.

Position Requirements/Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field required.
  • Minimum of 5-year(s) experience in Reconciliation/Account Administration or related fields
  • Experience working under tight timelines, producing accurate results, and mitigating risks.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail
  • Team player with a positive attitude who can effectively train and supervise others.
  • Self-starter attitude
  • Ability to organize, manage data, prioritize tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to learn and adapt in a growing and changing environment.
  • Demonstrate aptitude in troubleshooting and complex problem-solving.
  • Ability to handle daily and complex problems with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external contacts.
  • Knowledge of the Retail Managed Accounts information/data flow
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and react to change positively.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized with excellent follow-up abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office products with an ability to quickly learn new software applications, specifically proprietary systems.
